His team outclassed champions, Manchester City, in the final to lift the FA Cup trophy.
Shockingly, the new Man Utd management have decided to reward him by just extending his contract for a year and not giving him a single penny of pay rise.
According to The Mirror, Man Utd have agreed a one year deal that will once again make Ten Hag earn £173,000 a week, £9million a season.
Such a decision indicates two things, first is that Ratcliffe did not really want the manager to stay and the FA Cup win forced him to change his mind.
Second, INEOS do not believe Ten Hag’s achievement deserved a pay rise and renewing for just a single year suggests he is still kind of on probation.
The question is, how is a coach supposed to work to his best knowing that he does not have the full backing of the management?
Have your say – Do you think Erik ten Hag deserved a better reward for his services in the last two years?
