El-Rufai’s appointees are advised by lawmakers to prepare themselves for the trial related to the N423 billion investigation

According to report from PUNCH news. The Kaduna State House of Assembly has called on aides to former Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai to prepare to defend themselves against corruption charges.

The Assembly’s directive comes after the aides attempted to discredit a probe report that indicted them and their principal of embezzling N423 billion in state funds.

In a statement issued by Deputy Speaker Henry Magaji, the Assembly stood by its report, describing it as “sure-footed” and revealing a massive fraud allegedly perpetrated by El-Rufai and his appointees.

The Assembly’s move follows a press conference held by El-Rufai’s aides on Tuesday, where they questioned the report’s validity.
