Onana is expected to be in goal post as Man City clash with Inter Milan in the Champions League final on Saturday night in Turkey.

The Cameroon international has been impressive for Inter since joining the club from Ajax last summer.

Ahead of the final, Guardiola was asked who he felt was Inter Milan’s most dangerous player at his pre-match press conference and the former Barcelona coach said: “For the way they play, with the high press…

“Onana is an exceptional goalkeeper to take that position to build-up. Really, really good.”

Guardiola also singled out Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, adding: “All the processes they do… with Bastoni on the left side especially, is exceptional.

“The quality to link with the strikers, the ability for an extra pass. We have to try to defend, I don’t know how but defend these connections.

“With the ball, try to attack. Difficult against five at the back, we try to find a solution to be more effective to find a solution.”
