BREAKING: Tension rises as soldiers ‘take over’ key areas in Abuja amid nationwide protest

The checkpoint was established at Sani Abacha Barracks, just before the AYA Roundabout.

Security agencies did not provide prior notice of the blockade, leading to severe traffic congestion that extended over 12 kilometers to Nyanya Bridge.

Many civil servants and traders, who commute from areas like Nyanya, Karu, Maraba, and Masaka to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were caught in the gridlock and forced to turn back after hours of being stuck.
