His response came after state citizens criticized him on social media for being “too pompous” and shared videos of the incident.

Adejobi also said in his post that he had instructed both the Lagos State Police Command, the Public Relations Officer of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin and other relevant police teams to take up the matter and revert to him regarding their findings.

Two of the concerned residents, whose X handles are @mermahcita and @MaziUwanekezi, wrote about the incident, urging the police authorities to look into the matter.

In fact, one of them posted the videos of the mother of the man who was weeping while lamenting over the killing of her son.

Responding to the posts however, Adejobi assured them that justice must prevail over the killing of the man.

He wrote: “Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos Police Complaint Response Unit, take up this case immediately and revert as soon as possible. Try and get to the bereaved mother, and engage her please. Justice must be done.”
