The abduction occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday as they were en route to visit friends, having left their workplace, the Good One Carton Company, without informing company security or local authorities.

They had only informed a few people of their plans to visit Kémta Village, about a kilometer from their workplace.
Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the kidnapping, stating that the perpetrators have contacted the company with a ransom demand for the duo’s release.
Odutola added that security teams, including local vigilantes, military personnel, and hunters, have conducted extensive searches in the Kémta Village forest but have yet to locate the victims. Efforts to secure their release are ongoing.
This incident follows a similar event on May 3, 2024, involving the abduction of three Indian nationals on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Those victims were released after three days in captivity.
