After admitting in an official statement the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck a mosque within a school on the weekend, officials could not have been surprised at the resultant death of around 90 to 100 people, many of whom were women and children at dawn prayers…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶...CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING.>>
Even the timing of the strike, coinciding with dawn prayers, was instrumental in inflicting a maximum number of casualties.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Despite saying it was targeting 20 Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters, the Israel Air Force bombed the mosque three times.
The Israel Defense Forces and the pilots who flew overhead to dispense these bombs, could not have asked for more. Around a hundred deaths and a hundred more injured. Not broken ankles, or abrasions. The nature of the bombs used, which CNN have confirmed were supplied by the U.S., caused widespread burns, extremely painful, complex to treat, and no doubt leaving long-lasting scars.
Many of those wounded in the Israeli strike, including children, were arriving with severe burns covering much of their bodies, said Tayseer al-Tanna, a surgeon at Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, who called the scene “very difficult to watch,” The New York Times said in a report Sunday.
‘Dr. al-Tanna said doctors had been forced to amputate several badly burned and mangled limbs since early morning. They had almost no painkillers to give their patients, he said, and did not have enough time to fully sterilize the already overused equipment between operations,’ the Times report said.
“Another day of horror in Gaza, another school hit with reports of dozens of Palestinian killed among them women, children and older people,” Philippe Lazzarini, head of the UN relief agency for Palestine refugees, UNRWA, posted on X on Saturday.
“It’s time for these horrors unfolding under our watch to end,” he said. “We cannot let the unbearable become a new norm. The more recurrent, the more we lose our collective humanity.”
The IDF’s statement, confirming the strike on the mosque within the school was carried on X. “Today, the IDF and ISA struck terrorists operating in a Hamas command and control center, which was embedded inside a mosque in the Al-Taba’een school compound,” the statement said.
“Following an intelligence investigation, it can be confirmed at this time that at least 19 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists were eliminated. These terrorists operated in order to advance and carry out attacks against IDF soldiers and the State of Israel from inside the compound.
The strike was carried out using three precise munitions, which, according to professional analysis, cannot cause the amount of damage that is being reported by the Hamas-run Government Information Office in Gaza.”
“Furthermore, no severe damage was caused to the compound where the terrorists were situated. Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of a small warhead, aerial surveillance, and intelligence information,” the IDF statement said.
After ten months of hostilities the so-called war has resulted in more than 40,000 known fatalities amongst the Gaza population of a little over two million, with many more bodies buried in the rubble.
It is difficult for media to describe what is happening in Gaza as a war, as the difference in fatalities reveal. Nearly 40,000 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of which have been women and children. On the Israeli side the death toll of those killed in combat since the ground invasions began on 27 October 2023 stands at 227, all of them military personnel.
A further 102 have been killed in accidents, misfirings and friendly fire, the IDF reported on Saturday.

Saturday’s bombing was the 21st strike on a school, each serving as a shelter, the UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) says it has recorded since 4 July. These strikes, the office says, have resulted in at least 274 fatalities, including women and children.
“Despite IDF statements that all measures are taken to avoid civilian harm, the repeated strikes on shelters [for displaced people] in areas to which the populations have been forced to move and the consistent and predictable impact on civilians suggest a failure to strictly comply with obligations required by international humanitarian law,” OHCHR stated.
The war in Gaza has seen an unprecedented number of attacks on UN premises and staff.
UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East peace process, Tor Wennesland, urged all parties to the conflict in Gaza to prioritise the protection of civilians, conclude a deal for a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza and implement its provisions without delay or condition in line with UN Security Council resolution 2735.
“The cost in lives of this war is evident with every passing day as we have witnessed yet another devastating strike on a school sheltering thousands of displaced Palestinians, with dozens of fatalities,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
“Every day civilians continue to bear the brunt of this conflict amidst horror, displacement and endless suffering.”
“An end to this nightmare is long overdue,” he stressed. ….For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
