Umahi’s statements came during a courtesy visit to Governor Bala Mohammed, where he addressed pressing regional issues and expressed sympathy for the devastating flood disaster that affected the state.

According to Vanguard, Umahi acknowledged the difficult economic situation inherited by the Tinubu administration but emphasized the President’s concerted efforts to improve the country’s economic and social landscape.

He urged Nigerians to support and pray for the administration’s success, highlighting the importance of unity and collaboration.

The Minister commended President Tinubu’s technocratic abilities to diagnose and address Nigeria’s challenges effectively, comparing the country’s situation to a sick patient needing immediate medical attention.

He praised the administration’s initiatives aimed at alleviating the sufferings of Nigerians, including cash transfers, student loans, and energy projects.

Umahi also highlighted the administration’s focus on security and infrastructure development, particularly in the North-East region.

He praised Governor Mohammed for initiating remedial works on flood-affected roads and providing support to those impacted by the disaster.

Part of his words, “even when there were challenges in the South-East in terms of the Muslim-Muslim ticket, I kept saying that it was the will of God for the president to come and reset the nation and retake our nation.”
