Hadejia, who was Matawalle’s aide during the minister’s time as Zamfara State governor is under arrest for also money laundering and transactional crimes.

His arrest has set tongues wagging following the circulation of videos and pictures of him together with some dignitaries including President Bola Tinubu, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari and Matawalle on social media.

The latter’s aide, Shuaibu, begrudged the public fixation it brought on his principal verging on vitriol hurled at the ex-governor over Hadejia’s arrest.

The near sparring of other VIPs of criticism, the minister’s aide considered inappropriate.
