Real Madrid head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has warned the club’s president, Florentino Perez, that he will permanently leave Aurelien Tchouameni on the bench if the midfielder is not sold, according to El Nacional.

Real Madrid signed Tchouameni last June from AS Monaco for a reported fee of €80 million, which could rise to €100 million.

Tchouameni, who signed a six-year deal with the Los Blancos, has reportedly failed to impress Ancelotti.

The 23-year-old made 50 appearances in all competitions for Madrid, providing four assists, as he was expected to do a lot more based on his transfer fee.

He is not considered a key piece of Real Madrid’s midfield, as the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga are reportedly ahead of him in Ancelotti’s pecking order of midfielders.

Tchouameni will also face more competition in Real Madrid’s midfield following the signing of Jude Bellingham, who is considered ‘untouchable’ after his high-profile transfer to Santiago Bernabeu.

Ancelotti is reportedly trying to convince Florentino Perez to sell the France international this summer so they can try to recover the money Real Madrid invested in him.

However, Perez is adamant that Tchouameni will turn out to be a success and wants to give him another chance to impress.
