In anticipation of the general elections in 2027, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun talks with Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in 2023, and with Rabiu Kwnkawaso, the former governor of Kano State.

This was said by the party’s deputy national publicity secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, in a Monday interview with Channels Television.

Like the majority of party supporters, Abdullahi blamed the PDP’s electoral defeat in 2023 on a number of circumstances, including Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s departure to rival parties just months before the presidential election.

He, however, expressed confidence that the party’s overtures to these political heavyweights who were once members of the PDP family will bear the desired fruit before 2027.

Abdullahi said, “We have lost Kwankwaso, we have lost Peter Obi — all of these people — imagine if they are in the party, we will have gone to win the elections,” he said.

“This APC said they defeated us with one million plus (votes), just one of these names that I mentioned would have covered that gap for us and we would have been in power today and certainly Nigerians would not have been confronted with this despair and despondency in the land.”

According to him, discussions are ongoing to bring Peter Obi, Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso his counterpart in the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections back to PDP before the 2027 elections.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
