According to her, she stopped singing because of her ex-boyfriend’s brutal criticism of her voice.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jolie said the criticism affected her mentally and she adapted to her ex-boyfriend’s opinion as her reality.
“I don’t sing. I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing.
