Speaking to his congregation during a recent service, Pastor Ibiyeomie explained that “Rising to Kingdom prominence is a state of being above only. That’s the meaning. Deuteronomy 28:13.

He went on to make a pointed distinction between how wealthy and less privileged individuals approach distractions, particularly in a place of worship. “Poor people want to put on the phone for the rich man to call them,”

 

According to him, “Rising to Kingdom prominence is a state of being above only. That’s the meaning. Deuteronomy 28:13. (Phone rings). I’ve said it over and over, you will never see iPhone ring in Church because poor men don’t carry iPhones. It’s these Dubai phones and all these… The wealthy people don’t turn on (their) phones because they want to hear something to improve their lives.
