“People are far away from the government. There are a lot of opportunities at the ministries.

People are complaining, yet they fail to approach them,” Mrs. Tinubu remarked. “Go to the ministries and take advantage of several government initiatives.”

The First Lady’s visit to Ile-Ife included the inauguration of several key projects initiated by the Ooni on the campus of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

These projects include a 2.7-kilometer road named after her, as well as ultra-modern male and female hostels, known as the Ojaja hostels, and a new pavilion.

Speaking on the importance of the projects, Mrs. Tinubu noted that they aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s focus on education and youth development.

“It is worthy of note that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is focused on education and youth development, to ensure that all our youth have unhindered access to education irrespective of their financial status,” she said.

She also urged Nigerian students to take advantage of the National Student Loan Scheme introduced by the government, which provides financial aid to help students access higher education.

The First Lady praised Oba Ogunwusi for his contributions to infrastructure development, emphasizing the significance of roads and modern facilities in fostering a conducive academic environment.

“Roads have always been a symbol of progress which opens pathways to safety and economic growth,” she noted, commending the Ooni for celebrating his 50th birthday with such impactful projects.

In a gesture of goodwill, Mrs. Tinubu pledged N1 billion through her Renewed Hope Initiative to further enhance the infrastructure at OAU, acknowledging the university’s need for additional support.

She also called on other stakeholders, particularly wives of state governors, to contribute to the development of Nigeria’s education sector.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, praised the First Lady’s efforts and the administration’s initiatives, while OAU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebayo Simeon Bamire, lauded the revival of the student loan scheme as a step toward improving the nation’s educational system.

The Ooni of Ife described Mrs. Tinubu as a compassionate and devoted leader, who continues to champion the well-being of Nigerians.READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>
