The club’s chief believes these five players form the core of the Catalans’ current team and are important for the future as well.

The La Liga champions have been going through a poor financial condition for some years now, and this has led to struggles in registering some players.

They are expected to watch some players leave Camp Nou this summer due to financial issues.

But despite this, the club’s president is unwilling to sell five players.

Speaking in an interview on Esport3 show Onze, Laporta named Frenkie de Jong, Ansu Fati, Andreas Christensen, Pedri and Ronald Araujo as the unsellable players.

Manchester United did all they could to lure Frenkie de Jong out of Camp Nou last season, but the midfielder insisted on remaining at Barcelona, a club he joined from Ajax in 2019.
