Dr. Ngozi Orabueze, Chief of Staff and Deputy Prime Minister of the United States of Biafra, in a statement in Abuja condemned Finland’s “calculated betrayal” of its own citizens.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Orabueze accused the Finnish government of colluding with Nigeria to silence Biafrans by detaining Simon Ekpa on terrorism charges while investigations continue.
“This is not just an attack on one man, but a calculated attempt to undermine the struggle for Biafran self-determination and strengthen Nigeria’s oppressive policies against Biafrans,” she said.
According to her, the recent killings of Biafran civilians were carried out by reintegrated terrorists acting on orders from the Nigerian government, and Simon Ekpa’s only crime is his unwavering defence of Biafran citizens against state-sponsored terror.
The statement also urged Biafrans to remain resilient and continue funding their self-defence efforts.
She also urged Finland and Norway to uphold international human rights laws and self-determination principles, and warned against criminalising freedom fighters.
Orabueze emphasised that Biafran independence is not just Simon Ekpa’s vision, but the collective aspiration of a marginalised people.
She urged the international community to hold Finland and Nigeria accountable and called for Ekpa’s immediate release to ensure his safety.
“The struggle for Biafran independence is far from over, and history will judge those who choose to suppress rather than support it,” she declared.
