Our correspondent had earlier reported that the Katsina State Council of the NANNM on Tuesday threatened to withdraw its service from the frontline local government areas and vulnerable axis of the State over the alleged government’s failure to address the security challenges being faced by its members and welfare issues.

The association also threatened to embark on an indefinite strike should the government refuse to address their demands by the end of a two-day warning strike.

The warning strike starts on Thursday 30th January 2025 or risk withdrawal of members from the frontline local government areas of Batsari, Funtua, Malumfashi, Kankara, Kurfi, Danmusa, and Jibia.

To this end, the Commissioner said the negotiation has reached an appreciable level of understanding aimed at arriving at a resolution.

“To address the issue of manpower in the health sector, Governor Dikko Umar Radda has approved the employment of over 300 health workers”.Buy vitamins and supplements

While the issue of the NANNM on 2 and 7-day ultimatum, earlier given to address their demands especially in the frontline local government areas over insecurity and others, was due to a communication gap between the government and NANNM leadership which I have summoned an emergency meeting and we just finished the discussion and we all understood ourselves at the meeting”, the commissioner posited.

“Our meeting has reached an advanced state aimed at resolving all the lingering issues among other things”.

“I must also thank the NANNM for acknowledging the efforts of the government under His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umar Radda in the fight against insecurity. He is not relenting to see that the security of lives and property of everyone is protected in the State”.

“We will meet up with all the demands raised by NANNM”, the Health Commissioner concluded.Buy vitamins and supplements
