In a statement addressed to the public, the group emphasized several critical concerns regarding the state’s governance and financial management. “We passed a vote of confidence on the Martis-led Assembly as the only authentic legislative body,” the group declared, reaffirming its support for the legislative leadership under Martins Amokachi.

One of the group’s main grievances relates to the management of the Youth Empowerment program. The statement pointed out that the four billion naira allocated for youth development has yet to reach its intended recipients.

Despite claims of successful governance from certain quarters, the group expressed frustration, stating, “We are seeing how some people are saying the governor has done so well, yet the youth are yet to receive this STP.”

The group also critiqued the administration for what it described as ineffective leadership. “Leadership is leadership; you cannot be running a family affair for a few persons and expect Rivers people to applaud,” they remarked.

Additionally, the group called on Governor Fubara to present the 2025 appropriation bill before the duly recognized Assembly, led by Martins Amokachi.

They also issued a stern warning to the commissioners, accusing them of mismanaging state resources. “We want to give a 14-day ultimatum to the commissioners who are conniving with the governor and spending our resources illegally without appropriation.

We are calling on them to resign and apologize to the people of Rivers State, or we will pursue justice through the relevant authorities,” the statement read.
