According to Channels TV, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga made the information available online. He said to succeed Maikudi, President Tinubu appointed Professor Lar Patricia Manko as Acting Vice Chancellor.

Reacting, Senator Shehu Sani condemned the decision of the President to remove Aisha Maikudi from office.
The former Kaduna lawmaker described the removal of Maikudi as sad and unfortunate.
According to Shehu Sani on his official X account;
“The removal of professor Aisha Maikudi as the VC of University of Abuja is sad and unfortunate”.
