This followed the uneasy days the new Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, has had in office, following the removal of the former Speaker, Mudasiru Obasa.

President Bola Tinubu is said not to be happy with the dramatic removal while Obasa had taken the matter to court.

By Monday morning, no fewer than 10 police vans are stationed at the assembly gate.
