According to him, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, despite facing challenges within his party, also secured more votes than Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He insisted that Tinubu finished in a distant third place and lost the election significantly.

He argued that the results of the 2023 election showed that Nigerians wanted change.

He said the opposition should stay united and strengthen their strategies ahead of 2027.

He warned that internal divisions could weaken their chances of success.

Onovo advised opposition parties to focus on building grassroots support.

He urged them to connect with the people and present clear solutions to Nigeria’s problems.

He also called for electoral reforms to ensure transparency in future elections.

According to Onovo, if the opposition remains strong and organized, they have a bright future in 2027.

He encouraged Nigerians to remain engaged in the political process and demand fair elections.

“The opposition in that case, the Labour Party won the 2023 presidential election with a very wide margin. Even Alhaji Atiku who was ostracized by the PDP “G6” got a lot more votes than Jagaban Tinubu who was a very distant third and lost the election woefully,” he said.
