Popular social media commentator Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has expressed deep frustration over fresh allegations made against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In a recent YouTube video, Otse revealed that after spending over four hours at the EFCC office, a woman accused him of stealing her intellectual property.
He explained that the disputed tech idea was developed while he was detained in Kuje Prison and aimed to tackle fraudulent activities by online vendors.
“I’ve never been this angry in my life. Now, this woman is saying my tech project is hers,” he said.
Overwhelmed by the ongoing legal battles, Otse remarked, “At this point, I feel like I should just go back to prison.” He also called on the EFCC and Nigerian authorities to strengthen protections for intellectual property rights. Despite the setback, he vowed to proceed with launching the anti-scam initiative and establishing a physical office to support victims of fraud.
His exact words: “When I got to the EFCC, they hit me with this ridiculous accusation—some woman claiming I stole her business idea. I was so furious, I won’t lie, I cursed her out.”
