According to The Punch, the now-separated couple has chosen to air their grievances through various public platforms, including interviews, podcasts, and social media. The situation gained widespread attention after Omolara appeared on the podcast “Talk to B” hosted by Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo, where she made several allegations against her estranged husband, Ezekiel, who previously served as a youth pastor at the Deeper Life Bible Church.

She further claimed that her mother-in-law attempted to assault her on their traditional wedding day because she arrived late due to traffic, and that her sister-in-law had once deliberately given her a meal she was allergic to, supposedly to test whether she was telling the truth.
In response, Ezekiel denied all the allegations, reportedly referring to Omolara as “a liar and the devil’s daughter.” He claimed that she had concealed her medical history and past relationships from him prior to their marriage. According to him, her health issues began shortly after their wedding, with symptoms such as back and abdominal pain, which he initially assumed were related to pregnancy.
Ezekiel also accused his estranged wife of extra-marital affairs in Qatar.
He said, “It actually started from Nigeria. I started noticing some things; my wife would go out and come in, and then she would remove her underwear, and I would perceive that this lady had been sexually active — from the smell. But because she was a Christian and I was a leader in the church, I couldn’t suspect my wife. It wasn’t reasonable. So, I just thought, no, maybe it’s something else.”
Further talking, he said, “One time, I saw a male condom in her pocket. There was a time I checked her phone and read some of her chats; I saw a lot of chats with men. She had deleted all the prior messages, but I could see responses that implied there were previous dirty conversations.”
Ezekiel reportedly expressed deep concern over his wife’s behaviour, recounting a moment of fear and disillusionment when he began to question the woman he had married. He alleged that colleagues of Omolara at a nursing school in Qatar, where he had enrolled her, had informed him about her alleged affairs with multiple men.
These suspicions, according to him, led him to investigate her past further. Ezekiel claimed that he travelled to Nigeria specifically to meet a friend of Omolara’s, identified as Funke. During their meeting, he said Funke initiated a conference call with other mutual acquaintances, during which they allegedly discussed Omolara’s alleged sexual activities during her time in school.
Ezekiel described being overwhelmed during the conversation, saying his legs shook as he listened to the claims. He recounted confronting Omolara, asking her if there was anything from her past she had failed to disclose, to which she allegedly responded that there was nothing to tell.
According to him, Omolara may have become suspicious that he was receiving information, as she subsequently began messaging Funke and allegedly issued threats to her.
He also cited voice recordings that were reportedly shared with Saturday PUNCH, in which Omolara’s friends could be heard discussing her alleged involvement with lecturers and instances of abortion. In another recording, Omolara was allegedly heard pleading with Funke not to disclose certain information to her husband.
