Chelsea have taken a narrow but deserved 1-0 lead into halftime against Los Angeles FC in their Club World Cup fixture, thanks to a moment of brilliance from Pedro Neto.

The Portuguese winger lit up the first half with a dazzling solo effort, breezing past defenders before slotting a composed finish past the LAFC goalkeeper to send Blues fans into a frenzy. The goal, which came midway through the half, was a highlight of Chelsea’s dominant performance so far.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men controlled possession for most of the opening 45 minutes, showcasing slick passing and tactical discipline. The midfield trio kept LAFC pinned back, while Neto, in particular, caused havoc down the flank with his pace and creativity.

Los Angeles FC, meanwhile, struggled to find rhythm against the high press and were limited to a couple of long-range efforts that failed to trouble the Chelsea goalkeeper.

As the teams head into the break, the Blues hold a slim advantage, but it’s one they fully deserve. Chelsea fans will be hoping their side can maintain the momentum and secure a place in the next round of the prestigious tournament.
