Nigeria to Compete with Kenya, Egypt and More in 2025 Men’s African Zonal Championship

Nigeria will battle for one of the two tickets for 2026 World Championship in China with other African countries at the Men’s 2025 African Sitting Volleyball Zonal Championship scheduled to hold in Nairobi, Kenya.
Nigeria Sitting Volleyball Federation has confirmed it’s participation for the championship against host Kenya with five other African countries.

The participating countries are: MEN’S TEAMS: Egypt, Libya, Kenya, Algeria, Nigeria, Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The African championship is scheduled to hold in Nairobi, Kenya from the 1st to the 10th of July, 2025.

Meanwhile, four countries have confirmed their participation in the women’s event. They’re: Kenya – Host, Congo, Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will enter a 15-day residential training camp starting today (Monday), aimed at building team cohesion and sharpening skills ahead of the tournament.

The camp will take place in Kigali, with training sessions happening at the NPC Indoor Gymnasium in Kigali from Monday to Friday.
