The exercise, which was facilitated by the leadership of the 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke, OPWS, led by Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, on Monday, was described as a significant step toward fostering lasting peace in Taraba.

Speaking at the meeting, held at the 6 Brigade Headquarters conference room in Jalingo, Brigadier General Uwa, said the move was part of the Brigade’s ongoing non-kinetic peace initiative.

The intervention followed rising tensions and unresolved disputes between the Tiv and Fulani communities in the local government.

In a proactive effort to avert violence and restore mutual trust, Brigadier General Uwa, invited key stakeholders from the area, who included the council Chairman, Abubakar Usman, traditional rulers, elders, and security officials, to deliberate on peaceful coexistence.….KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
