Former Senate President, David Mark, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the emerging 2027 opposition coalition seeking to unseat President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mark, who is expected to lead the coalition platform as National Chairman, made the announcement in a resignation letter dated June 27, 2025, addressed to the PDP leadership in Otukpo Ward 1, Benue State.
