Belgian football legend Eden Hazard has welcomed Olivier Giroud to Lille with a lighthearted message after the veteran striker was unveiled by the Ligue 1 side on Wednesday, according to Metro.

Giroud, 38, returns to French football for the first time since leaving Montpellier for Arsenal in 2012, signing a one-year deal with Lille following a season in Major League Soccer with Los Angeles FC.

During his unveiling, Giroud received a surprise video call from Hazard, who joked about his former Chelsea teammate’s age and praised his new club. “Oh, old man! Look how beautiful is the Dogue!
