Renowned political economist and former presidential candidate, Professor Pat Utomi, has reacted to the opposition coalition’s decision to adopt the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a new political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a major move to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the coalition named former Senate President, David Mark, as the interim national chairman of the ADC. Mark recently resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
