According to a Friday 4th of July, 2025 report by Iran International English, Israel succeeded in locating and killing a senior Revolutionary Guards commander, Ali Shadmani, despite his strict avoidance of communication methods previously exploited in Israeli assassinations, his daughter revealed. The killing has intensified allegations that Israel used WhatsApp to track its targets.

“My father’s location changed every few hours. He carried no smart devices or phones.
