The Cameroon goalkeeper is booked to fly to New York on Thursday, where he will meet up with his new team-mates after sealing a transfer from Inter Milan.

Onana arrived at the Carrington training ground on Wednesday afternoon to finalize his move and will now join up with Erik ten Hag’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

An official announcement of the deal is expected today.

Onana, who cost the Red Devils a fee of around £47 million, is set to become United’s new number-one stopper.

This follows the exit of David De Gea as a free agent after his contract at Old Trafford expired.
