The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspected cattle rustlers in Jigawa State.

He said the suspects, Abdullahi Buba of Garin Dole, Itas/Gadau LGA, Bauchi State, and Alhaji Jubril of Bursari, Dapchi LGA, Yobe State, were arrested on Saturday at 1 am, in Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
He explained that the suspects were caught by the owner, who kept vigil during the night in anticipation of catching the thief who had earlier stolen cows in the neighbourhood.
Four cows were stolen from him and two from his neighbour, Alhaji Hardo, all valued at over N2,000,000.
Shehu said investigations revealed that Abdullahi, together with his accomplices, have been stealing cows between Kiyawa LGA in Jigawa and Azare town in Bauchi.
He said the suspects confessed to stealing cows and transporting them to Kano State.
The NSCDC spokesperson said the suspects will be charged in court for criminal conspiracy, trespass, intent to steal, and theft after investigations.
