Three persons, two males and a female have lost their lives in a ghastly lone accident in Osun State.

According to the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Osun Sector Command, the accident occured at Ojutu bridge; along the Osogbo-Ilobu road on Wednesday night.
In a statement by the Sector Commander, Henry Benamaisia and signed by the Spokesperson of the Command, Agnes Ogungbemi, on Thursday, the fatal accident involved a white commercial Mazda bus.
She said, “The injured victims were taken to the Osun State teaching hospital, Osogbo, and Onward Hospital Okinni.
“The three (3) mobile phones recovered have been handed over to state traffic (NPF).
“Other agencies involved were the Nigeria Police, O-Ambulance personnel and Vigilante.
“The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Henry Benamaisia warns the motoring public to drive within the stipulated speed limit to avoid loss of control that could lead to loss of lives and property.”
An eyewitness, Adebayo Adelu, however, revealed to DAILY POST that the fatal accident occurred around 8:00pm on Wednesday.
In his words, “This commercial bus loaded with passengers caught fire along Okinni/Ilobu road.
“Most of the passengers died on the spot while the few ones that made it out alive were seriously injured and have been rushed to the hospital.”
He also said from information gathered that the victims were students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology who were returning from an excursion from the Erin-Ijesa waterfall.
Another eyewitness in the hospital who craved anonymity stated that “Four of them were brought to UNIOSUN teaching hospital late last night. This morning I heard one is dead among them because he was badly burnt.”
