Nabena said APC might collapse because the leaders have failed to get it right.

He spoke as intrigues continue over who succeeds Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of the party.

Speaking with DAILY POST, Nabena said the faulty foundation of the party was responsible for the infighting.

According to Nabena: “From day one, the foundation of APC is totally wrong and that is why they are still fighting.

“This is what they will do till the party collapses if they don’t do the right thing.

“They have to go back to the roots, there was no election and what they had was a selection. Even the party members now don’t know the constitution of the party, they don’t have the idea of what the party is built on.

“It’s like people are seated at home and you just call them to come and take positions, they can’t get it right because they don’t know what the party is all about.”

Nabena said APC’s issues would be over when the party returns to its root and allow members vote for the leaders of their choice.

He added: “Like Adamu, people stepped down for him and he was told to refund money that came into the party, but he didn’t do it.

“The party has its chairman, Secretary, Auditor, and Treasurer; so, these are the people in charge of the account. They should audit the account and tell the public what the party has. APC made so much money during the primaries from sale of forms, where is the money?

“They did not refund the money to those who stepped down. Like I said, the party will continue to fight until they do the right thing.”

Recently, Adamu had resigned from his position as the APC National Chairman.

Feelers have it that President Bola Tinubu is tilting towards former Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje as Adamu’s replacement.

Protesting against the choice of Ganduje, a former APC Vice Chairman of APC (North West), Salihu Mohammed Lukman resigned on Wednesday.
