Kaigama expressed his concerns about the lack of critical self-analysis among leaders.
He stated that this is the root causes of widespread corruption in the country.
He explained that many leaders are focused on accumulating wealth without considering the needs of the children and youths.
Kaigama underlined the importance of caring for the younger generation.
He highlighted that neglecting children and youths could have long-term negative effects on the country’s future.
According to Kaigama, this attitude is bad to the development and well-being of the nation.
The Archbishop also called for a change in the mindset of Nigerian leaders, believing that promoting patriotism among leaders would lead to better governance and a more prosperous Nigeria.
During the interview, Kaigama also touched on the role of religious leaders in society.
He pointed out that they have a responsibility to guide their followers and promote ethical behavior.
However, he lamented that some religious leaders are also guilty of being self-centered.
This, he said, undermines their ability to positively influence their communities.
“Politicians, traditional rulers, and religious leaders are self-centered. The lack of critical self-analysis generates corruption.
People want to accumulate wealth without caring for the children, and youths. We need to cultivate a patriotic spirit,” he said.
