According to Daily Post, Governor Mohammed accused Wike of already aligning with the APC, despite his claim to be supporting the opposition. He suggested that Wike’s actions are more in line with serving the interests of the APC, and he even proposed that Wike might as well join the party officially instead of pretending to be part of the opposition.

The governor also took aim at Wike’s efforts to tarnish his reputation, describing them as both desperate and ineffective. Mohammed believes that Nigerians are aware of Wike’s true intentions and can see through his actions, suggesting that Wike’s efforts to damage his standing would ultimately have little impact.

Under his leadership, Mohammed stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, along with other key organs of the party, are working quietly to eliminate Wike’s influence and rebuild the party’s strength. He emphasized that genuine PDP members are focused on removing the APC from power in 2027 and restoring the party’s former glory.

The governor also made it clear that the policies of the APC have failed, and he argued that the party no longer deserves to remain in power. He framed Wike’s actions as a betrayal of the PDP’s core values and goals, suggesting that his support for the APC undermines the party’s mission.

Mohammed affirmed that under his leadership, the PDP is working to address internal challenges, particularly those caused by Wike’s actions. He reiterated that the party’s focus remains on retiring the APC and securing a victory in the 2027 elections.

“Such a path of perdition is not the portion of genuine PDP members who are working tirelessly to retire the APC in 2027- the very party, with its failed policies, that Wike has vowed to help win re-election in 2027,” he stated.
