The bandits were said to have shot the herder and abducted two others in the early hours of Tuesday, January 28.

This road leads to the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory and shares a border with Kagarko LGA in Kaduna State.
Sources who spoke on the incident identified the herder as Usman Shehu while those abducted were Adamu Isa and Umaru Muhammad.
According to the source, the victims of the attack weee killed and kidnapped while they were camping in the bush with their livestock.
He said, “The herders flashed torch light toward the kidnappers on noticing their movement around them, which prompted the gunmen to respond with the gunshot that resulted in the death of one of the herders, and went ahead to abduct the two others.”
Confirming the incident, police spokesperson in the state, Wasiu Abiodun said the force received a report about the attack at about 2.30 am on January 28.
He said the investigation shows that some armed men attacked a camp around Dogon-Kurmi village via Tafa and shot one Hoojji Usman dead, while they abducted one Adamu Usman of about 56years old.
