The oath of allegiance and office was administered to the appointees by the State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office within the Government House.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!In his address to the newly sworn-in Special Advisers, the Governor urged them to commit themselves to fulfilling the trust placed in them and to make a positive contribution to the #mybauchiagenda of the administration.
Mohammed stated that the reshuffling of the State Cabinet was done in order to reposition and reinvigorate the present administration in delivering on the mandate of his administration to the citizens of the State.
According to him, “The swearing in of the newly Special Advisers aimed at strengthening the government by appointing person’s with requisite knowledge and experience in all facets of government to complement the efforts of Commissioners and Heads of MDAs in service delivery.”
He called on them to take their appointments as a call to service to the citizenry and as an opportunity to prove their worth.
The Governor also urged them to eschew the temptations of enriching themselves with public funds, saying that the present administration will not hesitate in sanctioning anyone found wanting in the discharge of his responsibility.
Bala Mohammed then emphasized that the Special Advisers are to work in synergy with Commissioners and other Principal Officers of government for the attainment of the set goals of the administration which are service to the state citizenry and improving livelihood.
The newly sworn in Special Adviser are Adamu Bello, Commerce and Industries; Hon. Abubakar Bununu, Multilateral Corporation and Regional Integration; Usman Danturaki, Labour Matters; Prof. Simon Yalams, Technical and Vocational Education as well as Danladi Danbaba Bauchi, Humanitarian Affairs.
The rest are Sani Muhammad Burra, State and National Assembly Liaison, Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza, Higher Education, Shitu Zaki, Political Affairs, Sunusi Khalifa Rishi, Solid Minerals, Haladu Ayyana Dagauda, Societal Reorientation and Jidauna Tula Mbami, Legal Matters.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the newly sworn in Special Advisers, Hon. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu appreciated the Governor for entrusting them with the appointment.
According to him, the appointment will be a source of encouragement to deliver on the mandate given to them.
