Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola said Falola was arrested on January 20. On January 15, around 9:00 a.m., he allegedly stormed Oladipupo Adeniran’s home on Ifelodun Street, Ago Ajeri, threatening to burn it down.

Falola allegedly hit Adeniran on the head with a beer bottle before setting his apartment on fire. Residents rushed Adeniran to the hospital as the fire destroyed items worth over N1.4 million, including a gas cylinder, ceiling fan, Android phone, chairs, and eight aluminum windows. The ceilings of the sitting room and bedroom were also damaged.

Police arrested Falola on January 20 after a report was filed at Agbado Police Station. Investigators visited the crime scene, and the suspect is now in custody.

Odutola confirmed that Falola would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further investigation.
