Graham Potter was brought to the club in September in hope that he could turn this Chelsea side back into Premier League title contenders, but despite adding so many players to the squad, they are struggling.

And after loss after loss after loss – there has been alot of speculation about who will be the next manager into the club – especially as Potter is tipped to get the sack next.

That has led to some stunning reports that De Zerbi could make a move to London after turning his Brighton side into real European place challengers – with his style of football also being highly praised.

However – amid that speculation – Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Chelsea need to hire an elite manager rather than trying to hire De Zerbi – Agbonlahor told Football Insider.: “I can’t see Chelsea going for De Zerbi.

“Obviously if the defeats keep coming for Potter, he will have to lose his job. That’s clear.

“But they’ve got to have learned their lesson. They can’t go for someone who has done well at a smaller club.

“They’ve got to go for an elite manager with a track record of working at the highest level.

“There’s no way De Zerbi is the answer to this problem they’re facing. They’ve got to look elsewhere.”

De Zerbi has done a brilliant job at Brighton and is destined for a move to a big club – it is not CHELSEA.

The Blues are planning to stick with Graham Potter, despite all the speculation, and hope that he will turn things around between now and the end of the season.

However – we are fully expecting a manager that has won trophies to come into the club – there are some big names linked and managers that are out of a job already.

Mount tipped for move –

Stan Collymore has tipped CHELSEA midfielder Mason Mount for a stunning move to Liverpool.

Mount has been a massive player for Chelsea over the past few bosses and has been constantly made the clubs player of the season – but this year he has barely featured for Graham Potter.

He has not been as effective – he has not been able to make the impact that Potter would have liked and has found himself on the bench more often than not – and with his contract running down – there has been alot of speculation regarding his future.

Chelsea simply do not want to pay the midfielder the kind of wages that he is reportedly demanding – and that has led to alot of speculation in the media that he is a player that Jurgen Klopp would like to sign at the end of the season.

Now – Writing for CaughtOffside, Collymore believes that a switch to Liverpool for Mount in the summer could be on the cards.

“I’ve been told by two very reliable people, one of which being a person who knows Mason Mount personally, that his rumoured move to Liverpool this summer is very much on,” he said.

“It’s already being discussed within both clubs. There is a lot still to decide though, particularly at Chelsea. There will be a lot of outgoings and probably some more incomings so a lot will depend on what the club decides to do but the fact they’re already talking about the possibility of letting Mount go says a lot.”

We can see why CHELSEA do not want to pay Mount the kind of wages that he reportedly wants – he hasn’t deserved it from his performances this season.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out – we would not be shocked to see him sign with Liverpool that is for sure.

Blues agree Paez deal –

CHELSEA have beaten the likes of Liverpool, Man United and Man City to the signing of midfield wonderkid Kendry Paez

Since the arrival of Ted Boehly at the club last summer – the Club have been spending some serious money on some of the best young talents in the game right now.

It is clear that the American has a long-term plan at Stamford Bridge and has made sure that Chelsea have beaten off their rivals for those talents – and it seems that they have once again done it with the possible signing of Paez.

It is believed that the midfielder could cost the Blues around £20m – with any potential fee set to rise depending on his performances up to his 18th birthday.

The teenager is one of the most sought-after youngsters in world football but cannot link up with Chelsea until he turns 18 in 2025.

Many people that watch football from all over the world are very excited about the talents of Paez – he really does look like something special and a player that could have a big future in the game.

Chelsea fans will not get to see the lad make the move OFFICIALLY for a number of seasons – which is a shame – but hopefully he will not get forgotten about and lost in that CHELSEA system when he does arrive at the club.

It is a massive decision from the lad, if the reports are true, as it could make or break his career in the Premier League.’
