Tinubu emphasized Babangida’s pivotal role in the completion of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, which, at its inauguration, stood as the longest bridge in Africa.
In the statement, Tinubu acknowledged Babangida’s broader contributions to modern Nigeria, praising his efforts in shaping the country’s infrastructure and other key areas.
“The President acknowledges the role of General Babangida in the sculpting of modern Nigeria, and commends him for his services to the nation,” Ngelale conveyed.
