According to the press release, the statement in question, allegedly made by NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, aims to undermine the milestone achievements recorded by Dangote Group in tackling Nigeria’s long-standing issues of energy insufficiency and insecurity. The company emphasized that it has been at the forefront of addressing these problems, which have plagued the country for over 50 years.

Dangote Group urged Nigerians to disregard the misleading information, stressing that the official pricing of PMS will be announced by the Technical Sub-Committee on Naira-based crude sales to local refineries. This committee, appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to make its announcement on October 1, 2024. The group also clarified that the current stock of crude oil was procured in dollars, countering claims of inflated pricing.

The statement further revealed that Dangote Group has sold PMS to NNPCL at a rate that provided substantial savings compared to current import prices, ensuring that fuel will be available in every local government area of the country. The group reassured Nigerians of the availability of quality petroleum products and reaffirmed its commitment to ending the country’s long-standing fuel scarcity issue.

The company remains optimistic about its role in providing solutions to Nigeria’s energy challenges, maintaining that its actions will help stabilize the nation’s petroleum supply chain.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
