The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT command, Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident in a chat with, saying “Yes, it is true”.
Our correspondent gathered that the kidnappers attempted to abduct many of the residents before the Police operatives foiled their operation.
A fierce gun duel between the operatives and the criminal elements reportedly lasted about 30 minutes.
