Back in the summer, a few PL teams tried to add Portugal international from the Eagles. Benfica were unsatisfied with the offers, with the best they could get being nearly €30m. The Portuguese centre-forward was set to stay put and not force through a move.

Ramos was again in demand during the winter transfer window, fresh from scoring a FIFA World Cup hat-trick. As the Eagles stood firm in their stance for Enzo Fernandez, they wanted interested teams to pay Goncalo’s €120m release clause to sign him and refused to negotiate further.

The 21-year-old centre-forward stays a player of interest for the London giants, who have reportedly vowed to return with an offer. The Portuguese centre-forward is having a terrific campaign with the Eagles, but more teams could show their admiration when the campaign ends.
