During a special thanksgiving service organized by the state government, he reflected on his administration’s resilience amid ongoing political challenges, particularly following last year’s arson attack on the State House of Assembly.

Fubara assured attendees that his administration will continue payments to contractors and salaries to workers starting tomorrow, despite the court order.

He also confirmed that allocations for the 23 local government chairmen will be processed as the necessary steps have been completed.

Encouraging his supporters to stay strong, Fubara emphasized that his administration has thrived despite predictions of failure, having successfully led for over a year and conducted local government elections despite significant obstacles.

He pointed to ongoing projects as evidence of his ability to deliver.

He recounted a violent incident on October 30 last year, which he described as an assassination attempt, accusing political opponents of ambushing him after he withdrew legal cases against a rival group.

While he expressed no regrets about seeking peace, he noted that the lack of reciprocation from his opponents has influenced his decisions regarding the political crisis.
