A planned unveiling of the African Democratic Congress as a unifying political platform for Nigeria’s opposition suffered a setback on Wednesday after the event venue abruptly cancelled a fully paid reservation just hours before the programme.
The event, scheduled to hold at the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Asokoro, Abuja, was expected to formally introduce the ADC as the platform to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.
