Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has firmly denied any association with the newly unveiled opposition coalition formed under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that he remains a committed member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sirika’s reaction follows public statements made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who both suggested his alleged alignment with the opposition alliance during recent media engagements.
Taking to his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, Sirika described the claims as “unfounded and pedestrian,” rejecting any insinuation of defection or involvement in the ADC-led coalition.

“I watched HE Nyesom Wike today on Arise claiming that I have joined the so-called coalition,” Sirika wrote.
“Nothing can be further from the truth. I remain a loyal member of the APC and a committed follower of Muhammadu Buhari.”
The former minister emphasized his unwavering loyalty to the APC and reiterated his support for the ideals of former President Buhari, under whose administration he served from 2015 to 2023.
Sirika’s rebuttal comes amid intensifying political speculation surrounding the ADC coalition, which has attracted prominent opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group, seeking to present a united front against the ruling party, has been holding meetings and consultations with disaffected members of major political blocs across the country.
