According to him, “President Bola Tinubu should stop pretending that all is well with the country while taking blame for the economic maladministration of the immediate past government that deliberately under-developed the Nigerian youths, particularly the northern youths, whose future was mortgaged.”
Apparently, the Mayor was reacting to a statement credited to the Minister of Finance, Olawale Edun that former President Muhammadu Buhari sold the nation’s crude oil upfront for two years, collected the proceeds, prompting the current administration to sell crude without collecting its value for money.
According to the modern ruler of Urhoboland, some major appointees of the immediate past Federal Government should be questioned, arrested and jailed for this wickedness against Nigeria, particularly their deliberate act of destroying the youths of this country by neglecting them and mortgaging their future.
The Mayor, who is also the National President of the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A said, not arresting them to answer for their stewardship while they held sway “amounts to not only injustice, but insult on our national psyche and collective sensibilities as a nation of people under God and it shall stand against his region for a long time to come.
“Under Buhari’s administration, we had a scam where the then Minister branded an Ethiopian plane in Air Nigeria colours and presented same as being the Air Nigeria that huge funds was voted for including award of dubious contracts to himself and his immediate family members.
