However, after seeing the extent of the damage caused by the floods during his visit, he realized that the initial amount wouldn’t be enough to make a significant impact.
As a result, Dangote increased his donation to 1 billion naira to help address the destruction in Maiduguri.
In Ndume’s words: “Dangote came in, when he came in we received him at the government house and he told us that he has donated 1 billion naira to NEMA for national flood. He also said that he is donating 500 million to Maiduguri.
