The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Tuesday dismantled an illegal operation selling unauthorized skin-bleaching products in the Sabon Gari area of Kano State.
The bust led to the arrest of six individuals following several weeks of surveillance, which was launched after a wave of public outcry and viral social media posts exposing the harmful practices.
While addressing journalists in Kano, NAFDAC’s State Coordinator, Mr. Kasim Ibrahim, disclosed that the sting operation was triggered by disturbing online videos and messages showing vendors openly promoting and selling hazardous creams disguised as spa treatments.….KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶▶
